It’s that time of year when makers, crafters, roboticists, fire artists and families from all walks of life come together for the annual Makers Faire in San Mateo, CA. 24 Hours at Sundance

What do Ashton Kutcher, Kevin Rose and Irina Slutsky have in common? More than just love of the camera it turns out. They’re also subjecting themselves to a potentially ridiculousness experiment this weekend, all in the name of bringing the love to you, dear viewers. Kutcher & Rose are co-hosting a live 24 hour web game show, called 24 Hours at Sundance, that begins at 8am Sundance time on Saturday, Janurary 17th. Irina is one of four contestants, along with CJ Peters, Meghan Asha and Matt Marshall, who will be running around Sundance with Qik streaming cell phones as they fulfill ridiculous tasks. Since sleep is not an option, expect extreme ridiculousness early Sunday morning as things finish up. Irina should shine here as she’s the queen of no sleep. Tune in to 24 Hours at Sundance and help a sister out.

Hey peeps, Irina here. Just a quick reminder that I’m one of the judges for Intel’s ”What’s Inside You” contest and the last day to submit is JANUARY 15th! Another internet video woman we know who is also a judge is Sarah Austin from Pop17, so you KNOW u wanna be judged by us cuz we’re sassy.

Intel has been a sponsor for events I’ve helped organize in the past (Vloggies, Winnies, Pixelodeon) and I’m happy to participate in their Intel Insider program…… especially when I can get fun stuff in the mail … like an Intel Core2Duo Mac Air! Heyy!

So, get it together and upload a video! Cuz that means YOU can get a computer or two in the mail like Irina did. For real.

Contest participants can submit an image, video and or audio file along with a brief written description to tell their story of how Intel’s processor technology helps unleash their creativity. We’ll announce the winner on March 2, right before SXSW — where I’ll be driving around another Tech Cab Confessions taxi!

Official word from Intel: “Whether you are a budding fashion designer, photographer, graphic designer, animator, architect, short-film producer or just an aspiring ‘weekend warrior’ artist that makes the most of your processing power, tell us how Intel technology helps you be creative for the chance to win one of three new laptops. Not sure what to submit? Will Harris is a man of a wonderful tech/comedic mind. It only makes sense — he comes to us from accross the pond and has that British sense of humor that is both subtle and over-the-top at the same time. His interview of Leo Laporte is a litmus test for silliness and genius in one take. Will and I had lots of fun hanging out and doing this segment, and I would have killed him if he didnt let me record “Piggy Piggy Snack Snack” for him once i found that wierd caffeine/taurince Snickers bar at the local Bodega in the Mission. Thanks Will! Too bad for the ladies, he’s married now.

It’s Official, Irina is an Internet Superstar

It’s now official, locked in stone, on video, voted on by the toughest Internet brains in the business, yes Irina Slutsky is indeed an Internet Superstar.
